Kids at Solid Rock

At Solid Rock Church, the safety and protection of all children is a top priority. Our mission is: β€œTo teach our children to love and serve the Lord. To love them like Christ does. To serve alongside their parents, bringing glory to God and His Kingdom.”

We seek to fulfill this mission by providing a safe and nurturing environment for all kids while they are in our care. At Solid Rock Church, we uphold our child protection policies as part of our mission to speak and show Christ in all we do. Here are examples of how we seek to fulfill this mission:

  • All volunteers complete a screening process and background check which is updated every 3 years.

  • All volunteers undergo yearly training of child abuse and child protection policies.

  • All volunteers abide by our two volunteer rule, where no child is ever alone with a volunteer, and all bathroom and diaper changing is only done by a parent or guardian.

  • We use a secure digital check-in system for safe drop-off and pick-up of children.

  • Our COVID-19 practices include staying home when sick, universal masking in our classrooms, and frequent hand hygiene and cleaning protocols.

  • We have emergency plans in place which are reviewed yearly with volunteers.

  • We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum to teach our kids about Jesus in a fun and age-appropriate way.

  • At this time, Sunday school classes are provided for young children ages 2-5 and Elementary grades K-5th. In addition, we offer a nursery for nursing mothers and a playroom for parents with children younger than 2.

We invite you to join us on Sunday!
